Many children who are eligible for free or reduced price lunch do not have enough food at home to eat over the weekend. To help address this, AT&T's Xandr Group worked with United Way to assemble weekend food kits for food insecure families with school-aged children. The kits included provide low fat, low sugar breakfast, lunch and dinner items along with healthy snacks. Messages to the children were tucked into the kits, which were distributed by school nurses.
