VITA Interns
Vinuta and Martin participated in our 2023 VITA internship program.
Vinuta's Story
"…Through this internship, I gained experience through taking a certification course to ensure that I am ready to prepare tax returns for the general public… The target population of the clients whose returns I helped prepare at the VITA site included lower income and elderly individuals… I have definitely taken away a lot of new information about the IRS, how to file taxes, and how the realm of accounting works. I really enjoyed this internship, and definitely look forward to helping out every tax year."
Martin's Story
"I… have learned tax law concepts such as state and federal tax regulations and federal tax codes. We also have worked on completing certification tests that will help us be preparers. [I] would recommend this program to others aspiring to increase their knowledge [of] tax…"
