Perth Amboy Rental Assistance

Tenant Based Rental assistance (TBRA) is an emergency housing affordability program for low and very low-income households in Perth Amboy facing financial hardship. It covers rent arrears (not to exceed 2 months) and/or security deposits or both (not to exceed $5,000) and utility costs. UWCJ’s Agreement with the City of Perth Amboy provides temporary one-time assistance for rent arrears to eligible individuals and households due to a valid financial hardship (not to exceed two months) and/or security deposit payments or both (not to exceed $5,000) to very low and/or income households in the City of Perth Amboy.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

You must meet all eligibility requirements in order to submit this form.

• Undocumented individuals
• Applicants receiving housing subsidies, Section 8 or affordable housing
• Applicants receiving TANF and/or SSI should contact the Middlesex County Board of Social
Services for Assistance (181 How Lane, New Brunswick, NJ, 732-745-3500)
