On February 4th United Way's Women United held a Legislative Breakfast at the Pines Manor in Edison. The panel addressed topics ranging from civic engagement toquality preschool and child care to the importace of including underserved communities in Census 2020, especially infants and children.
Moderated by The Honorable James Cahill, Mayor of New Brunswick, the panelists were Deputy Commissioer Elisa Neira from the New Jersey Department of Health and Human Services; Honorable Patrick Diegnan, New Jersey State Senator, 18th District; Honorable Yvonne Lopez, New Jersey Assemblywoman, 19th district, and; The Honorable Jonathan Busch, Mayor of Metuchen.
Additiional speakers included Women United Chair Jane Leal and Women United members Muriel Grimmett, Meghan Ingstrup and Lisa Landsman.
